November River - Powerscourt
Time has run out but I did get this one done. So it's egg and chips for the kids and I want to pop down to Nuala O'Toole's exhibition in Greystones. Wasn't going to go but my friend Claire shamed me into it - supporting local Artists and the like.
Oh! Ró ... this appeals to me greatly ... so quietly still ... and I feel nourished to be in its presence. This is a melancholy in which I am happy to rest- a quite lovely pause - looking from without the November gloom towards the struggling weak light on the field and onto the bark - the shadows reflecting on the greys of the water give me great pleasure; standing and staring! Thanks Ró.
I am an Irish artist of impeccable pedigree! Coming as I do, from a family of talented and sucessful artists.
Since embracing the daily Painting movement some time ago I paint a small painting, every day or every other day and post them here. Having discovered the fun of regular blogging, I am fired up by the idea of being part of a global discussion around painting that is a varied as there are artists.
