Blackbird Singing

A change in tempo from fruit!

There's a blackbird in our garden that keeps me company while I paint. I hear his lovely song even when the doors are closed. But every time I try to get a picture of him he gets stage fright so this is not actually him but he is my muse!

Wonderful painting of a typical Blackbird that comes into our Garden. Well done Roisin, I love it. All the best.

I don't know how they can hear the camera from inside the house but our bluebirds do the same. They will stay sitting on the porch until they hear the tiny sound of the camera and they're off. Love how you brought the background into his head.

Hi Tracey and welcome! Bluebirds seem very exotic to us over here. I've never seen one in the flesh even though my sister lives in the Okanogan BC. Maybe next time!

Hi Roisin,

I wanted to wish you a Happy St. Patrick's Day yesterday, but was stuck in airports all day! Hope you enjoyed your celebration.

I like your bird. He makes a great muse. Has spring arrived? Flowers on a branch is but a distant memory...
